Jobs at the Fair
|
Thank you for interest in temporary employment at the Sonoma-Marin Fair. Generally theAssociation hires two weeks in June for the annual Fair. This year’s Fair dates areJune 18 – 22, 2008. For all position inquire late April or Early May. The hourly wagesrange from $8.00 to $10.00 per hour.

Ice Attendant:
|
Responsible for selling and delivering ice to the venders and various departments on the fairgrounds. Must have the ability to keep accurate logs, and have customer service skills.

Janitor:
|
Expected job duties: Janitorial Services for all restrooms, trash pick-up of entire grounds, garbage maintenance of all garbage cans on grounds, and other related duties as designated by fair management.

Kid's Contest Coordinator:
|
The Sonoma-Marin Fair is looking for two outgoing and responsible teenagers or young adults to assist in running the kid’s day activities and special events such as the Amateur Talent Show and The World’s Ugliest Dog and Crazy Dog Tricks Competition.
Kid’s day activities include relays and active games, similar to those that any summer camp would use. Applicants will be responsible for organizing kids into groups and facilitating the events without any supervision. Applicants should be energetic and willing to get involved with the kids. Camp counselor experience a plus, but not required.

Maintenance Worker:
|
Expected Job Duties: maintenance functions necessary to maintain and operate the facilities. Painting; carpentry; plumbing; electrical work; landscaping; mechanical and equipment repairs; operating equipment such as tractors, dump trucks, blowers, sweepers, loaders, fork lifts; janitorial functions; ordering and record keeping of supplies; installing blacktop and grade; cement work, brick work; setting up and/or installing temporary structures or events; roofing; digging irrigation ditches, and other related duties as designated by fair management.

Runner:
|
Performs various tasks as assigned by fair management. Must have a valid CA Drivers license, and customer service skills.

|
Ticket Seller:
|
Responsible for ticket selling and cash management. Must be good with math; cash handling experience a plus. Customer Service a must. Bi-Lingual sellers needed. Applicants will be given a short quiz to test math skills.
|
|
Ticket Taker:
|
Responsible for taking tickets from patrons at the admission gates. Must be able to stand for the entire shift. Customer service skills required.
