Livestock Shows
Sonoma-Marin Fair values tradition. This is the time of year that we get to see how our county’s youth present animals they have raised all year. They stand to win the more than $37,000 in premium and prize money the fair awards each year to support youth in agriculture. Click here for the livestock show schedule. Specific times also are posted at the Livestock gate and at the Main Gate during the fair.
Livestock Walk
You can also wander the barns with our self-guided Livestock Walk to see close up the animals that populate our counties. You’ll see beef and dairy cows, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, cavies all getting ready for their big debut in the show ring.
Don’t miss the Farmers’ Day Events on Saturday, June 25 from noon to 5 p.m!
One of the Fair’s best kept secrets, city and country folk are invited to jump in for a wild afternoon of fun that includes Team Penning, the Calf and Pig Scramble, Hay Bucking, the Marin vs. Sonoma Tug-a–War, the Hide Race, the Boot & Shoe Scramble, Mutton Bustin’ and the Wild Cow Milking Contest. The event takes place at the Horse Arena and is not for the faint of heart. Click here for the schedule and entry forms!
