The annual Teen Edge Event sponsored by Basin Street Properties and the Theatre District runs Wednesday, June 22 from 2 to 5 p.m. on the Kiwanis Stage. The event includes a text messaging competition, a fashion show, and teen band showcase. Natalie Wright, deejay at Y100.9 will be giving away prizes all day at Teen Edge. Teen fairgoers stand to win prizes from The Boulevard Cinemas, Powell’s Sweet Shoppe, MoYo’s Frozen Yogurt Lounge, High Tech Burrito, and Cardozo’s Deli Café.

Text Messaging Competition
The Text Messaging Competition for the fastest texter will have two preliminary qualifying rounds with the final winner receiving a prize from Petaluma Wireless. This competition has made television news in past years.

Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th Fashion Show
2 to 3 pm, Kiwanis Stage
The Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th Fashion Show will feature 20 local teens all outfitted by Petaluma’s Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th. Saks new store manager Phillip Coston will emcee with Natalie Wright of Y100.9. Would-be models can sign up online, at Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th at the Petaluma Village Premium Outlets, or by emailing marketingadmin@sonoma-marinfair.org. Models will receive training from Julie Nation Academy at the rehearsal, Tuesday, June 21, 4 pm.

Teen Band Showcase
3 to 5 pm, Kiwanis Stage
The teen band showcase (following the fashion show) allows teen bands to take the stage and play to an audience. Interested bands should email the fair at marketingadmin@sonoma-marinfair.org. After the event, The Lost Boys will perform.
