If you could send a message into space, what would it be?
That is what NASA had to decide in 1977 with its first “Voyager Mission.” A special recording called the “Golden Record” was made and sent “beyond the milky way” space to tell extraterrestrials what Earth was like. It contained 115 images, 90 minutes of music, recordings of Earth sounds, and a greeting in every language spoken on Earth. If we were to send a Golden Record into space today, what would it include? Fairgoers will be able to write messages, select images, and take selfies suitable for sharing far into space. What will you choose? What do you think others will choose?
Hosted by 4-H of Sonoma & Marin Counties.
