What items are prohibited at the Fair?

Weapons, including pocketknives and anything deemed a threat to the safety and security of other fairgoers.

Pets are not allowed, except trained service animals and dogs/pets entered any of the Fair’s contests.

Do I have to purchase my tickets in advance?

If you want the best price, purchase tickets in advance online. Tickets purchased at the gate on the day of your visit will see a price increase.

Will tickets be available at the gate?

Yes, we will have ticket booths open at the gate daily. You can also purchase tickets online to avoid waiting in line at the ticket booths.

Will you be selling a season pass this year?

No, we do not offer season passes.

Will you offer free or discounted admission days?

There are NO free admission or special discount days offered this year.

Will you have unlimited ride wristbands or ride discounts?

THE SONOMA-MARIN FAIR IS THE BEST DEAL IN TOWN! Carnival Rides are FREE with paid fair admission.

Are there restrictions to riding the carnival rides?

Some rides may be denied to fairgoers because of height requirements or physical disabilities such as casts.

Do I have to purchase a ticket for the concerts?

Concerts are FREE with fair admission. However, a limited number of Pit Passes (standing room at the front of the stage) are $25 in addition to fair access.

Are there restrictions on what is allowed at the stage areas?

No cameras, video equipment, or audio recorders are allowed in the Main Concert Stage or the Kiwanis Park Stage areas. No chairs or coolers are allowed on the grass in front of the Main Stage.

Will my admission ticket be scanned at the gate?

Yes, we have an electronic ticketing system, and all tickets are scanned to allow entrance into the fair.

What is the ticket refund policy?

When purchasing tickets, the user agrees to no refunds or exchanges.

What are your parking options and pricing?

Parking is $10, and only cash is accepted.
ADA parking is available in the main parking lot for $10.
VIP Parking in the Main Lot must be purchased in advance for $15.

Are there any parking restrictions?

Overnight parking is not permitted. Large vehicles like RVs may need to park far from the admission gate.

Where can I be dropped off if not looking to park on campus?

You can be dropped off along Fairgrounds Drive near the Petaluma Library.

Can I smoke at the Fair?

Smoking is prohibited except for designated smoking areas located on the fairgrounds.

Is there a designated family meeting area?

The designated family meeting area is the Chicken Statue just inside the Main Entrance. Parents should arrange to meet their children in this area if they get separated.

I am a Food & Beverage vendor. How can I apply to be a concessionaire at the Sonoma-Marin Fair?

Implied Consent to Use of Recorded Media:

By entering the Sonoma-Marin Fair, you are entering an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur.

Your entry and presence on the event premises constitute your consent to be photographed, filmed, and otherwise recorded and to the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of any recorded media of your appearance, voice, and name for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity in connection with the Sonoma-Marin Fair and its initiatives, including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, news, and advertising.

By entering the event premises, you waive and release any claims you may have related to the use of recorded media of you at the event, including, without limitation, any right to inspect or approve the photo, video, or audio recording of you, any claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement or any fees for the use of such record media.

You understand that all photography, filming, and recording will rely on this consent. If you disagree, please do not enter the event premises.
