I adopted Tostito on February 4th,2017. They drove him to my apartment to Maine and it was love at first sight! I was very concerned though because he was extremely under-weight and his ears were in bad condition. They shelter said they didn’t know much about his past. He was rescued by a shelter up north from a high kill shelter in Tennessee. Due to the lack of dental care he received and drinking dirty water, he has no teeth or lower jaw. He LOVES his food though! I mix up wet food with water and he gobbles it up as fast as he can! He’ll bark at me and his Grammy to hurry up mixing his food. This is our first year entering the contest. We’re not sure of his age, maybe 13? It has been the best experience of my life watching him go from a terrified shy dog to a spunky sassy boy! He’s thriving now and so happy. I’m a dog walker/pet sitter and he loves to help me at work! He has an amazing way of comforting other dogs when they’re anxious or upset. He doesn’t trust many people but when he does, he showers them with so much love! We are renting a house now in Falmouth Maine and he sometimes wears a diaper in the house because he loves to pee. Being his owner has been the greatest privilege in my entire life. He’s my pride and joy!
